Methodology
Every figure on these guides follows the same rules: it comes from a named published source, it carries the date it was retrieved, and if a fact is not published anywhere, it is omitted rather than estimated. This page documents those rules so any number here can be audited.
Price figures
SMSRoute prices are quoted from SMSRoute’s own published pages: the US all-in rate of $0.0125 per message and the “from $0.004” floor come from the published price pages; per-country figures are dated snapshots of the corresponding public rate card. Competitor prices are quoted only from the competitor’s own published pricing page, with the retrieval date shown next to every cell and a link to the source. We never estimate a competitor’s effective or negotiated pricing.
The provenance triple
Machine-readable datasets under /api/v2/ record every field as {value, source, retrieved} — the fact, the named public source, and the ISO date it was read. Pages rendered from those datasets show the same date and link. When a source stops publishing a fact, the field is removed at the next regeneration rather than carried forward.
What we refuse to publish
No invented latency or delivery-success percentages (no measurement pipeline exists that could honestly back them). No “untraceable” or “no logs” claims — sender anonymity on SMSRoute is toward the message recipient, not toward infrastructure. No fake live functionality of any kind. No competitor claims beyond their dated published pages.
Automated checks
Before deployment, every page passes deterministic gates: a price gate (no figure may contradict the published canon), a lexicon gate (country reference pages must stay informational), a metadata gate (unique titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, one H1), JSON-LD parse checks, layout checks at three viewports, glyph-coverage checks for all 16 languages, and a corruption scan. A page that fails any gate does not ship.
